The Building and Facilties
Alt Bridge is a brick built building, constructed in 1974 it was designed as a secondary school and as such benefits from extensive playing fields and playground areas. Indeed the school has all the facilities normally associated with a Secondary School which include a full sized sports hall, a Design & Technology area including Food Technology and two well equipped ICT suites.
Each pastoral area has its own leisure area for use by the pupils, including wet breaks and lunchtimes. There is also a fully furnished parent’s room which doubles up as a facility for Speech Therapy. Speech Therapists or assistants are on site approximately 3 to 4 days per week. The school also has a fully fitted Medical Room.
The Wellcroft Centre and the Wellcroft Centre Annex are attached to the main building of Alt Bridge. These are occupied by CAMHS.
In order to secure the safety and well being of the school together with its pupils employees, service users and visitors the use of Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) is used on the site.
